Those who have read the first three books in the series: Marked, Chosen and Betrayed know what I am talking of. Well the next three books in the series are as exciting as the previous ones and perhaps even more. Overall, I think they are more exciting and gripping than the Twilight series.

Untamed

Zoey Bird is having a real bad time at the House of Nights. Her friends are avoiding her, her boyfriends have abandoned her and of the two best friends that support her, one is undead and the other is not even marked. And over this she has the feeling Nefret is no more working for the goddess, especially after she declared war against humans, but the question is if she isn’t working for the goddess then whom is she working for? And what is the significance of the ravens surrounding the school? Will what her grandmother foretold come true? Read to find out.

Hunted

The story opens with Stevie Ray brought down into Tulsa’s Prohibition- tunnels, injured by Stark’s arrow. Of course she is cured. Things go on fine for sometime or do they? Zoey’s dreams are haunted by Kalona and she is attracted to him despite not wanting to. Her human boyfriend and vampire boyfriend are both tiresomely possessive. Dark shadows seem to lurk around. She has the feeling Stevie Ray is hiding something from her perhaps. And no one knows what exactly is happening up there.

Circumstances force them to go back to the House of Night to find out that it can no more be called home. All seem to have been brainwashed and mesmerised by Kalona and Nefret and Stark seem to have changed for the worse. What will happen next? Will friendship, loyalty, faith in yourself and others bring bright victory or will the Fallen Angel win in the end?

Tempted

Zoey and her group of friends are able to banish Kalona and Nefret from Tulsa. But serious issues are yet to be sorted out. Zoey is having a tough time handling Erik and his jealousy from Stark — her warrior, and Heath — her human boyfriend or consort. The fledglings of House of Night seem to feel they were better off with Nefret, Stevie Ray seems to be hiding deadly secrets, doing things which may soon be the death of her. Most importantly in Zoey’s dreams Kalona still lurks and she is haunted by the feeling of being the incarnation of A-ya, the one who led to Kalona’s downfall by sacrificing herself in the history. She soon has to confront the evil again, distinguish between truth and illusions and protect herself from what Stark is scared of, the pre-told future. Will she save herself and in turn save others? Or will evil prevail again? That’s a question only the book can answer… And do read it as it has a surprising ending that can’t be guessed.

Zoey and her group manage to get a little bit of sleep but there are still more issues to be handled. Zoey of course has the boyfriend issues. She has gone from having Erik and Heath to worry about to now also having Stark, her warrior who has a close bond to her. Erik is getting more and more possessive and it is becoming increasingly hard for Zoey to handle. Talk about Drama.

When the group decides to return to the house of night they find that their home is in turmoil and the only thing to explain it is that Kalona and Neferet are still alive, and still have a hold on them. This thought is confirmed by finding out that they are at the high council in Italy.

This book takes so many twists and turns that you don’t see coming that it keeps you engrossed. Your wondering what is going to happen next and how could it possibly get any more different. The writing is engaging and develops the story well. And the ending will leave you wishing it was April already for the new release.

The Tempted Tour ended with the Tulsa Borders Stop! It was amazing to see all the House of Night fans and even greater to see they are so nice. I met a few people while waiting in line and I heart you guys! You are awesome! PC was full of energy and I just love her personality! Kristin is so shy but I still heart them both! I have placed all the photos I took from the event to my gallery and if you attended any of the Tour stop events, please send me your photos! I look forward to it! I will have a video of the question and answer session of the Tulsa tour event and I tell you, there were some interesting questions.

House of Night Fans has the latest news on PC and Kristin Cast’s stop at the Mall of America! I can’t wait until they are back to Tulsa on November 7th! They found out some interesting information! Just two days before the tour the, PC talked to the screen writer of the first House of Night movie and the script will be complete in two weeks. Today I’m thrilled to feature mother-daughter writing team PC Cast and Kristin Cast, co-authors of the bestselling House of Night Series. The House of Night vampyre novels follow a group of teenagers as they are Marked by the vampyre goddess, Nyx. After being marked, a fledgling vampire will enter the school of the House of Night until they are ready to change into an adult vampire- that is, if their body does not reject the change first, causing them to (gasp) DIE!

The sixth novel in the House of Night series, Tempted, will be released in October. Without giving too much away, can you give us a hint as to what readers can look forward to in this highly anticipated series installment?

KC: TEMPTED will be told from six different characters points of view, and you should definitely pull out your Kleenex boxes! I cried three times!

Recently you both traveled to England to do research for the seventh book in the House of Night Series, Burned. Can you tell us about some of your favorite places you visited?

KC: I loved Culloden, the site where the Clans fought against the English. It was really moving and I learned a lot about myself.

PC: I adore the Highlands! Actually, I’ll be returning next month for more research, specifically at the Isle of Skye, where Zoey and the gang will be going in BURNED. Oh, and Clava Cairn, the ancient burial site of Celtic queens, was my favorite spot, though I also loved seeing Culloden.

Out of all the House of Night novels, has there been one in particular that was your favorite to write and conversely, was there one that was more challenging than the others?

PC: I think the easiest book to write was CHOSEN – all that drama just wrote itself! TEMPTED was more difficult than the others because of the shifting point of views, but it is currently my favorite in the HoN series.

The female characters in the House of Night novels are known for being strong, gutsy and intelligent leads. What types of feedback have you received from readers regarding the empowering roles of women in your novels? Has there been anything that really resonated with you in particular?

PC: I love hearing from young women that Zoey has helped them know that they can mess up and still recover and learn and grow. It’s also especially moving when I hear from gay teens who thank us for including them in the series in a realistic and positive way.

What other upcoming projects (solo or collaborative) are you working on?

KC: Right now, I’m working on a short story for HarperCollins, and, of course BURNED!

PC: Other than working on BURNED, I’m helping launch the new YA imprint of Harlequin TEEN with my fantasy books ELPHAME’S CHOICE (September 2009) and BRIGHID’S QUEST (March 2010).

I also have a paranormal romance for Nocturne titled THE AVENGER releasing Oct 1, 2009.

Her daughter, Kristin Cast, has won awards for her poetry and journalism. She also lives in Oklahoma, where she attends the University of Tulsa as a communications major.
