What do you think of this article comparing House of Night’s cover to Twilight’s cover. I just don’t see it or is it just me? lol

From the increasing number of Twilight fan clubs and the fast growing online communities, it is true that the vampire series has come to be a cult favourite. Anjana opines: “Supernatural fiction has caught on after the success of ‘Twilight’. There are so many books out there. There is this series called ‘House of Night’ which even looks like ‘Twilight’ with their cover design. So many authors are building on the success of the series and there are a few Mills and Boon books out along the same theme as well. Apart from books, the supernatural has spread like wildfire to become a pop cultural phenomenon. There were ‘Vampire Nights’ in Delhi and Bangalore as a party theme, organised by Hachette India.”

Wow I read that article. I’m an avid reader of both the “Twilight” Series and the “House of Night” series, and I have to say that I obviously don’t see any coincidences between the covers of either of the series. I mean honestly the twilight series has hands, an apple, a flower, a ribbon, and chess pieces. While the House of Night series has Zoey on the covers and the tattoes kind of in the background. So no I obviously don’t agree with the article.

Whoever wrote that article is DEFINITELY insane. I am as well a fan of both the “House of Night” series and the “Twilight” series (more HON thoguh). They are NOTHING alike. K.R.B. said exactly what I think lol. There are no people on the Twilight books, unless that person was looking at the new versions of the book with the movie poster covers, or the ones with Edward or Bella or ANY of them. Which would technically mean that TWILIGHT copied the HOUSE OF NIGHT books, hehe.

If you haven’t noticed, this isn’t the writer’s opinion. Neeti Sarkar is only just quoting the opinion of somebody called Anjana. So Anjana is probably the one who has got the covers mixed up in her head! Even I don’t see any similarity. Also the article isn’t about the comparison between the two books. Maybe this excerpt that is posted here is. The entire article is actually about what fans of Twilight are expecting from the movies.
